Abroad at AU Courses
The Abroad at AU program allows international students to study for one semester or one year at American University.
Coursework on Abroad at AU may not be used toward a credit-bearing degree at American University. If a student in the Abroad at AU program wanted to apply the coursework taken at American University toward a degree at American University, the student would need to retroactively pay the difference between the Abroad at AU program cost and American University’s full tuition. For this reason, the course value appears as 0.0 on their American University transcripts.
The course numbers on the student’s official American University transcript are specific to this program and differ from the course numbers found in the university’s catalog. Each of these courses meets jointly with a course which is listed in the university’s curriculum. These courses do not differ in any way from those courses completed by American University degree-seeking students and granted credit on their official transcript. All course requirements, exams and grading were the same for degree-seeking and Abroad at AU students.
For your reference, we have compiled a list of all the courses taken by Abroad at AU students during past semesters at American University.
